Corrupt Syntax is the intended App Store name. The live listing may still show the old title until Apple approves. The app and this site say Sintax.

Who we are. The developer of Sintax is the privacy officer. There is no Sintax account. Contact: Support and X @corruptsintax.

The app’s Account page only shows what’s connected on your phone (your devices and assistant chats) so you can remove them, and it is not a login or an account with Sintax.

What Sintax does not do. No ads SDK. No crash-identity warehouse. No sale of personal information. No training a Sintax model on your calendar, health, or reminders. Health, Home, and similar grants are never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining.

What stays on your iPhone. Permissions grants. Logbook. Calendar, Reminders, Health, workouts, Weather, Maps, Music, Home, Alarms, Photos, Notes, Shortcuts, Focus, device and location, and any other group in Permissions run on this iPhone when that group is on. Off means that group does not run. Clear Logbook deletes the on-device log.

What leaves the iPhone. When you ask an assistant and a group is on, Sintax reads or writes only what that ask needs, then sends the answer to the assistant you connected (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Gemini — examples, not a ranking). That assistant is a third party. Their privacy policy applies to what they receive. Sintax does not pick the assistant and does not train on the payload. Sintax does not check that the assistant’s read or write is correct. Turn the group off in Permissions if you want them to stop. A notification or Dynamic Island can deliver a request to this iPhone so the tool can run while Sintax is in the background.

How a request reaches this iPhone. Sign-in keeps a small card so we can wake this iPhone: which devices are paired, a unique link for the assistant you connected, a sign-in identifier from Apple or Google, and which groups you turned on. Last sign-out deletes that card. A later sign-in gets a new link. Sintax's hub passes your request to your iPhone and the answer back to your connected chat. That applies to every Permissions group (Calendar, Reminders, Health, Home, photos and the rest). To wake this iPhone and return the answer, a request may pass through a server we operate. Purpose: deliver that one ask and the reply. Not ads. Not profiling. Hosts may keep short-lived operational logs, not a copy of your calendar. That server is outside Québec. Personal information in a request may be processed outside Québec and may be subject to the law of that place.

This site. No accounts. No marketing pixels. No analytics warehouse. Theme preference may sit in this browser’s localStorage. That is not app data.

Children. Not directed at children under 13.

Tips. Optional tip in Settings. The app stays free if you skip it. Payment is handled by Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the purchase. We do not receive your full card number.

Rate limits. 60 asks / 10 minutes and 2,000 / day per connection keep the wake path affordable. The counter is short-lived memory, not a dossier. Over: “Sintax is busy.”

Your rights. You can turn a group off in Permissions, Clear Logbook, disconnect the assistant, or delete the app. You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we can delete. While you are signed in, that is the pairing card plus whatever short-lived operational log still exists. Last sign-out deletes the card. How to ask: Support and X @corruptsintax. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects about you.

Incidents. If we learn of a privacy incident that creates a real risk of serious injury, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information when the law requires it.

Health

Sintax uses Apple Health sleep stages and readings taken during sleep, only when you ask a chat you have connected and approved on your iPhone.

What Sintax can read

Sintax can read sleep data from Apple Health only when you ask your connected chat.

Sleep stages are in bed, asleep, awake, core, deep, and REM. Each one includes a start time, an end time, and which device recorded it. You can ask about last night, or a date range you choose.

Sintax can also read these readings from the time you were asleep. They are read-only: heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, breathing rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature.

Some of these need an Apple Watch. Without one, they are simply not available.

What Sintax can save

Sintax can save only an in bed, asleep, or awake entry. One entry at a time. Only when you ask.

What Sintax can delete

Sintax can delete only an entry Sintax itself saved. One entry at a time. Only when you ask.

Apple does not let Sintax change or delete sleep data recorded by your Apple Watch or other apps.

Permission

Sintax asks Apple Health for permission first. You can turn access off anytime in the iPhone’s Health settings.

Where Health data goes

When you ask, Sintax sends the Health data you allow to the AI chat you connected, a third-party service. It's never sold or used for ads.

Turning on the Health switch on Sintax’s Permissions screen is your OK for this, and you can turn it off anytime.

Sintax does not copy Health data into its own iCloud storage or any Sintax server. Entries Sintax saves go into Apple Health, which may sync them through your own iCloud if you turned on Health in iCloud.
